Day 164

This tells you how long my day has been. I logged on here to write this and was like what where is Thursdays?  Well DUH I haven't wrote it yet! LOL

Today has been one long emotional day!

Our day started out with being able to Skype with Michael this morning!   It has been wonderful to finally see him and know he is safe! Here's a couple of Pictures that a buddy of Michael's took.

After speaking with Michael I ran the kids to school and then came home and got somethings together so I could take Laurel back to the Dr's.  Got there and sure enough Laurel has an ear infection.  It's so bad that the Dr couldn't even see the tube in the one ear.  She had drainage all out her ear. It's pretty gross.  Then she listened to her lungs and gave me the look like OH NO!  She said it's not good. She has some rattling in there.  Go get some Xrays done.  Went and got the Xrays done and I looked at them and you could so tell her and pneumonia! It was pretty obvious.  Went back to the Dr and sure enough!  Laurel has viral pneumonia.  Poor kid is miserable.

Came home and got Sarah and then we went to the store and got Laurel some soup and jello and some Capri suns.  Hoping this will get her better.

Got a call from the Airmen Family Readiness Center about this Seminar we are going to this weekend. Had to run into base and drop off some paperwork.  Decided that we all needed haircuts and to run some other errands.  Everyone got a hair cut but Laurel. She wasn't going to sit in there at all.  Samuel took her around Walmart so I could get my haircut.  She came back with a Rapunzel doll. Which of course we had to buy! LOL Oh well she deserves it.   Not really sure if I am liking my haircut. I dont' think she cut it the way I wanted. We will see in the morning. It's really short!  Oh well it will grow back out!

Once we got done with that it was time to head to basketball practice for Samuel.  Watched him play and that kid sure does love basketball.  I think we have found his sport.

Came home and as I pulled into the driveway I noticed that my headed lights weren't working. One of my headlights went out. UGH!  So tomorrow I have to go and get that fixed. Had the kids get ready for bed and what a great surprise we got.  We got to talk with Michael again!  He even got to listen in and watch Brother Otto and Brother Lunt give Laurel a blessings to get better.  It's amazing the technology and wonderful spirit that was in our home.  I am so thankful to them for coming so late and being so willing to serve!

After they left got to talk with Michael for a little while longer.  Made him cry a couple of times.  Just the things the kids are saying.  Laurel the past few days has called out Daddy whenever she sees someone in Uniform.  Laurel and the older two sleeping with their dolls.  I think this weekend will be a much needed break from everything around here.

Today was a day of weakness for me. Today I found myself saying I don't know how much more I can handle.  I am so physically, emotionally, and mentally drained for all that has happened the past few weeks.  It just seems to keep coming.  But there is the saying that the Lord only gives us what we can handle right?
