If most of you don't know about this, they travel all over the world. They are known for their little red truck! It has everything they need in it to put on a play in a week. You just supply your kid to them all week! Monday morning started at 9am with auditions. These auditions are just to determine what parts kids get. They have the do funny lines in all sorts of ways. Like yelling, crying, Sad, Happy, excited. It is so funny to watch your kids through this process. Shortly after that they start practicing and learn their parts. At the end of the week they have a show! Friday night and then another one of Saturday afternoon. It's so fun to watch them and see their personalities come out.
Samuel was part of the group the Seasiders. He was so good this year. He was loud, clear and you could hear his one liner parts every time!
Melody's part was the Town Criers! She did really well! It was a hard part to do. All six of them had to be in sync with each other and sing and say to rhythm every time.
For the most part this play as really cute and lots of fun! It's fun to see your kids enjoy something so much. Samuel didn't really want to be a part of it, but afterwards he told me, Mom I am glad I did it! It was so much fun!
This year we had a lot of kids from our ward in it as well!
The King was Jared Moon
Ophelia was Lauren Moon
Caleb Rhoton played a Scout
Samuel, Amiera Jensen, Savannah Cordova and John Warnock as the Seasides
Melody, Jackie Jensen, Charity Cordova were the Town Criers
Last but not least there was the Seahorses which were played by, Kimball Cordova, Mara Lane, Lexy McDowell, Macie Swenson, Ari Jensen, and Sydney Briggs.
That's about HALF our primary right there. They all did Great!
Can't wait to see what play is for next year! If you want to see if Missoula Children's Theatre comes to your home town go to www.mctinc.com and check them out. It's so much fun!
