Late Monday night this HUGE storm cell moved into Burkburnett and Wichita falls. Well needless to say it never moved until early Tuseday morning. We got woke up at 2 am due to heavy rain and LOTS of Lighting and thunder. I was like this can't be the same storm. But it was. Shortly after waking up we were watching the news and they were staying that 2 ft of water was flowing over Interstate 44. It was closed from the Red River all the way into Wichita Falls. Michael wa slike well I will take FM 240, NOPE it's a running river too. So he was like I will take FM 369, NOPE it's a river too. LOL So needless to say all the roads that lead into the base were closed.
Michael got a phone call about 4 am and was told not to worry about coming in until around 9 am.
As Michael left for work he had a hard time getting there every road was closed. They finally had opened the Interstate but Michael said it looked like a river had gone through it. Tons of cars of the road with BIG logs pushed into them, tumble weeds all in the grills and such.
As the weather reported we got 12 inches of Rain from 9pm Monday night till about 3 am. That's a lot of rain for this area. We now have flooding again. We have rivers the size of footballs fields in places that were just little streams. LOL The road that we normally travel on (Daniel's Road) is all closed. A Raging river is crossing it. It was still closed when I came home early this morning from work. If you all remember the river down by the Holiday Inn and the Falls? It's flooded again too. Almost to the Holiday Inn again. Actually it is to the Holiday Inn and they have no axcess to it. It's amazing what rain can do in one dumping.

It's actually been really nice lately only 70 or so degrees around here. Gotta love those temps! But soon we will be back up to the high 90! I am so looking forward to it cooling off!

Wow! We've had rain here, too but not like that. It's been nice with the cooler temps. I wish it would stay that way without all the rain. Hopefully you'll dry out soon!
Holy Cow! I can't even imagine having a storm produce 12 inches of rain! We get some pretty big storms here but usually only get 2 or 3 inches of rain. At least, you won't have to water your lawn for awhile.
