I love Sundays! Today was a challenge though. You would think that after 7 month so doing this that Sundays at church would get easier! OH NO!!! I think they are getting harder! Laurel has discovered that she can escape and run for the door. Not fun! That girl is an explorer. I think I really need to get something for her to be entertained by. If you have any ideas they are welcomed! LOL
The Talks were great today. They were on Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy and Blessing of being Obedient. They were all hitting home. I have been trying to get my older kids to read their scriptures and write in their journals. I have gotten some fabulous ideas from Sister Moon on keeping my kids on track for Scouts, Young Men and Young Women. I just need to make the time and get them done. Today I took the kids each a side and had them tell me what they had going on this week. Man that sure helps me out. Then I can go back with my phone and program them in. Now I just need to get my menu planning done. LOL I really need to get myself on a schedule of when to do things. I think that would really help me out as well.
Today was my first day as the Primary Chorister. Man I was so nervous that I was sweating. It went great though. The kids loved the idea that Sister Moon had put together. We had them draw pictures to the song last week. She then laminated them and we used them this week. Along with hearts that had actions on the back of them. Had a kid come up and pick a paper and we took that one down. Then we sang what was on the heart. These were the actions: Football Player, Cheerleader, Whisper, Winking, Flamingo, Granny, Acappella, Yawn, Clap It, Nose Plugged, Opera, Shiver. They loved it. I think they liked the Granny one the best though! Sister Moon has been so wonderful to help me out the next few weeks since we are just going with what she had planned. Next Sunday we are going to do a review but have other songs to sing as well as the two new ones. We are going to spin a spinner and that will determine the song, Then we are going to do something else that will require some dress up clothes! Dont' want to give too much up since I know alot of people read this! LOL
This week, I need to Learn verses for songs! That's one thing I am really weak in. But with the Lord's help I will learn them. It's amazing what the words to a song can do to the soul!
This week brings an end to Cheer and Basketball Practice. YAY! No more late nights. Now we can have regular bedtimes. That will be so nice. Hopefully things will get back in order. Samuel has his 1st Temple Trip. He is really excited! I wish I could find someone to watch the girls for me so that I can go with him. What a great joy for a parent to see their kids attend the temple for the first time.
This week is going to be great! It has to be right!
